Al-Azhar Mosque, the subject matter of the study, is considered one of the most prominent examples in which we can feel the genius of the Moslem artist in his creation of high levels of art across the Islamic eras, in addition to the great statues occupied by Al-Azhar Mosque as one of the foremost scientific universities that have lasted for long generations as it is the oldest and the greatest influence in the history of the Arab-Islamic thought .
Throughout the periods of history Al-Azhar has been the guard of Arab heritage, the renewer of the Islamic culture, the torch that illumination and dose not fade, the haven that harbors the hearts of the Moslems everywhere and the light which illuminates the way for them and leads them to the right path.
It can be said that Al-Azhar Mosque is the first pillar by which the Fatimids one thousand years, could achieve their religious and political goals and dominate the Islamic peoples. Al-Azhar is still the fourth niche sanctified and hallowed by all Moslems in the east and the west .
Due to the great stature occupied by Al-Azhar since its establishment until now, this great religious institution that was founded to be both mosque and university that has lasted over a thousand years as the oldest and largest university in the Islamic world.
