and reference lists as follows : Chapter I: (Definition of research ) this chapter deals the research framework: introduction, problems objectives, importance scope and hypotheses and terms of the research besides the methodology of study and allied studies. Chapter II: The art of weaving in Egypt through the ages and includes: a prelude- chronology: waving in ancient Egypt, in Coptic age, Islamic age and last the historic perspective of Kilim weavings.
Chapter III: A Study of hand made kilims in Assiut Governorate - the village of Bani Adiat includes: first a study for the province of Assiut Second: a study of the village of Bani Adiat of Assiut Governorate- Third: studying the tools used in the craft of kilims craftsmanship in the village of Bani Adiat- Fourth: The raw material used in kilims and its preparation in Bani Adiat.
Chapter IV: A field study of the centers for the production units Kilim hand crafts in Bani Adiat- First: extraction of design motifs of kilims in the village of Bani Adiat-second: study of various formulations
