Abstract

Succinylcholine was found in its highest concentration in the kidney, then in liver and brain. The drug was found till 72 hrs. in the three organs.
GaJJamine was found in the kidney more than in the brain and the liver, decreased gradually, but after 48 hrs., it was found only in liver tissues. After 72 hrs. it couldn’t be found at all.
So, from this study we can conclude that postmortem detection of these drugs is preferable to be as early as possible especially for ketamine and Gallamine which disappeared early. Also, tissue of choice for detection of Ketamine is kidney, for Thiopental Sodium is brain, for Succinylcholine is kidney and for Gallamine is also the kidney.
