Abstract The objectives of these studies are: 1. Study the effect of crusts sealing and water table depth on moisture dynamic in the root zone. 2. Apply newer publication equations depending on infiltration rate and soil water-retention curve data for predicting the water sorptivity and matching factor between the infiltration rate and the hydraulic conductivity at the steady-state condition 3. Estimate the wetting angle between soil and water and calculate the the effect of wetting angle on isothermal adsorption of water in soil. 4. Evaluate seal thickness and hydraulic conductivity values as influenced by the different SAR values and electrolyte concentrations of studied soils. 5. Finding the correct form of Darcy’s equation or some other equations that can correctly predict soil hydraulic conductivity, taking into consideration the changes in the physical or chemical and structural state of the porous media, which occur during the flow process. 6. Study the effect of SAR of two electrolyte solutions (5 and 50 meq/l) on the saturated hydraulic conductivity of some soils from Egypt Therefore, five soil profiles different in their locations were chosen from Menofiya Governorate, in the Middle of the Nile Delta of Egypt. First soil profile from El-Manshia El- Gadida village, El- Bghour area; second soil profile from El-Dabiba village, Berket El- Saba area; third soil profile from Kafer Shehata village, Talla area; fourth soil profile from Faculty of Agriculture farm, Shebin El-Kom area and fifth soil profile from Cairo-Alexandria Agricultral road, Quesna area. |
