Abstract
Aquaculture is an important food producing sector, it provides much needed protein, employment, income and liveihoods supported to many people in the world (Tacon, 2002). Aquaculture is currently the largest single source of fish supply in Egypt accounting for almost 65 percent of total fish production. total aquaculture production in Egypt in 2009 reached 705 409 tonnes represented 7 518 282 million Egyptian pounds as a total market value (GAFRD, 2009).
