Abstract

Background: Health sector reform is a sustained process of policy, institutional and systems changes aimed at improving efficiency, equity, cost-effectiveness and quality in the health system, the purpose of the change being to promote the achievement of overall health policy objectives. Aim: This study aims to identify the effect of application of the ’’Health Sector Reform Program’’ on Client satisfaction of the Health Services at Rural Health Units. Design: Ex post facto research design was used in this study. Setting: The Study will be conducted in three Health Care units and one health care center affiliated to Ashmoon which will be randomly selected in Ashmoon. Sample: Random sample of 400 clients from the selected setting will be included in the study. Tools: Interviewing questionnaire, used to measure client satisfaction about the health services at the Rural Health units and Health Center, observational checklist of the accreditation tool: It is used by the researcher to measures the quality of the health services in the pre mentioned units and health center. Findings: the main finding of this study reported that, the majority of the studied clients are females in the three health units and health center, regarding their, mean age it was between 33.52±10.92 in Grees health unit. The majority of the clients were satisfied from all health services in the units and health center, in Ashmoon health center with mean 91.5±2.54; However, 25% and 21%of the clients in Monsa and Shanshour health units were not satisfied. Conclusion: The majority of the clients in Ashmoon, Grees, Shanshour health units reported that they are satisfied with the ease of getting the family file and atisfied with the employee in the family room, The majority of clients in all health units reported that, the units was clean when attend . And also, all the clients in Ashmoon health center having waiting chair in the waiting area. Regarding the satisfaction from leanliness of the bathroom 7% are not satisfied in Monsa and Shanshour health units and 11% in Grees health units. Recommendation: According the client is recommended the culture background have female gynecologist in the health units and for further the research is recommended to include health care personal (nurses, physician and worker).
