Abstract

Thick film carbon sensors were developed for the determination
dextromethorphan and acetylcholine. The screen printed carbon electrodes
(SPCEs) were characterized and optimized with regard to the main experimental
parameters affecting the electrode performance, including composition of the
ink, pH, temperature, and interferences in comparable to conventional ones
(PVC membrane and carbon paste electrodes). Determination of target analytes
in pure samples was carried out, under the optimized experimental conditions,
using simple potentiometric techniques under batch and FIA. The developed
sensors have been succefully applied in the fields of biomedical, pharmaceutical,
and environmental analysis, the obtained results were in good agreement with
those obtained by the official methods
