Abstract
Data-mining and knowledge discovery have now become very active research field, while rough set theory has been successfully applied to knowledge acquisition as powerful tool for data reasoning, decision analysis and forecast, knowledge discovery from database, expert system and decision support system. Because of high complementary between rough set theory and other soft technologies, including grey system, artificial neural networks, probability, statistics and fuzzy set theory, we can integrate the advantages of rough set theory with other theories related to soft technologies and build more powerful hybrid method of soft decision making. Therefore, we can broaden the scope of rough set theory application and provide wide range of scientific and standard methods for decision making under uncertain conditions.
