Abstract
In Egypt farmers used many pesticides to control harmful agent for
plant. These pesticides have toxic effect on all organisms raised in field.
In this study we examine the effect of a herbicide on catfish and the
ability to recover that effect to minimize the effect of these pesticide that
reach human body at the cnd hy foodrplant and animal).
Topik is a herbicide that belongs to a group of chemicals known as
Aryloxyphcnoxy propionatcs. Topik IS Systemic post-emergence
herbicides for selected grass control 111 spnng and Durum wheat. The
study were examine the effect of topik as Aryloxyphenoxy propionates
herbicide on catfish by histological and physiological examination in
different fish organs as gills. kidney. liver and some hlood parameter
(AL T. AST. Glucose. Triglyceride and cholesterol) .This study were mad
on constant parameter except topik concentration and the time duration.
The second part of the study was interested in study how we can
minimize the effect of pesticide on fish by returning them to clear water
for two and f vc weeks.
