Abstract This study was conducted on fifty subjects, selected from Abu-Korkas chest clinic, El-Minia chest hospital, and Malawy chest hospital in El- Minia government during the period between March 2008 and October 2008.They was divided into three groups:- Group (1) which is subdivided into 2 subgroups; Group (1-A) include 20 pulmonary TB patients positive for AFB by direct smear examination. Group (1-B) includes 10 extrapulmonary TB patients diagnosed clinically, radiologically, & histo-pathologically. Group (2) (10) Patients with community acquired pneumonia and Group (3) (10) Normal healthy persons. All patients were subjected to the following: - Full medical history and clinical examination, Chest X-ray P-A view, three sputum smears examination with Ziehl-Nielsen stain for AFB, Tissue biopsy for histopathological examination only for cases of EPTB and Measurement of serum CA-125 level. |
