Abstract This study was carried out during 2010 and 2011 seasons on head trained Red Roomy grapevines grown in a private vineyard located at Samalout district, Minia Governorate. This study aimed to throw some lights on the effect of single or combined application of some antioxidants on vegetative growth characters, vine nutritional status yield and quality of Red Roomy grapes. Selecting the best combined treatment responsible for gaining an economical yield is considered another target. from economical point of view, it suggested to foliar application of the four antioxidants namely ascorbic acid, salicylic acid, citric acid and three amino acids (namely tryptophane, methionene and cysteine) each at 250 ppm three times at growth start, just after berry setting and at one month later for improving yield of Red Roomy grapevines quantitively and qualitatively. This recommended treatment can be applied under experimental and resembling conditions. Application of this promised treatment in one feddan containing 1000 Red Roomy grapevines increased net return by 4300 and 11000 L.E over the check treatment during both seasons, respectively. |
