Abstract
Breast cancer is a cancer that forms in the tissues of the breast usually the ducts and lobules. World wide ,it is the most common form of cancer in female and the second cause of death on women with breast cancer and its incidence still increasing. With one million new cases in the world each year.
As breast cancer represents an important public health problem. So ,primary prevention should be given the highest priority in the fight against the disease such as avoidance of fatty foods and obesity ,practice of physical exercises and intake of soy products .Early detection must be considered the best second choice for reducing mortality through breast self examination ,clinical breast examination ,ultrasound and mammography.
The aim of the study was to identify preventive practices of breast cancer among female employees in Mansoura University.
The study was carried out in the seventeen Faculties representing all Faculties of Mansoura University e.g. Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Science, Education, Art, Agriculture and Commerce. All female employees who worked in the previously mentioned setting during the time of the study were included in the study sample. Their total number was 681 female employees.
