Abstract

The study includes the most bacteria cause nosocomial infection. Nosocomial infection are acquired hospitals bacteria, which are within 72 hour after entering hospitals. from these bacteria Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, E. coli, Klebsiella pyogenes and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, these bacteria isolated from different sources such as urine, stool, pus, blood, throat swabs and vaginal swabs. The isolated bacteria were purified and identified by different methods. The bacteria were tested against 39 antibiotics with different concentrations. The study was extended to detect the enzymes responsible and that contributes in the mechanism of resistance of these bacteria to antibiotics. from these enzymes beta lactamases that breaking the beta lactam bond. Beta lactamases detected by using antibiotic disc that contain beta lactam, the colonies of tested bacteria suspended on the antibiotic disc and left 5 mint., then pink colour appear.
