For this purpose, the study was indicated about 30 rats weight about 150 - 200 (g) weight. Biological & chemical analysis of serum and histopathological investigation of the internal organs were cullied out. The results could be summarized as follows 1- Due to hypercholesterolemia T.L, T.C, T.G, LDLc & VLDLc were increased while HDL decreased. 2- Feeding on oils of peppermint, curcuma, rice and their mixture decreased T.L, T.C, T.G, and LDLc & VLDLc and raised HDL. 3- The best treatment for lowering T.L was observed for group 3(hypercholesterolemic rats then fed on peppermint 5%) 4- Rats fed on 5 % peppermint oil recorded the best treatment for lowering T.C. 5- Due to feeding with diet containing peppermint oil 5%, serum T.G level recorded the best treatment. 6- Hypercholesterolemic rats then fed on rice oil 5% showed the highest value for raising HDLc. 7- Peppermint oil 5% showed the best treatment for lowering VLDLc. 8- Due |
