Abstract

Supersymmetry (SUSY) is one of the most interesting candidates for physics
beyond the standard model. SUSY provides solutions for many problems in the
standard model. We studied the charge conjugation parity (CP) violation in the
leptonic (τ ) and mesonic(B) decay processes. The semi-leptonic |S| = 1 τ -
decays, in particular τ → Kπν, was studied within the framework of SUSY for two
variants: With and without R-parity conservation.
• With R-parity conservation :
(i) We derived the effective SUSY Hamiltonian (H) of the τ− → s¯uντ transition.
SUSY contributions are generated through two topological box diagrams
(that account for chargino, sleptons and squarks exchange).
(ii) Complete expressions of Wilson coefficients (Ci, i = 1, ..., 5) of H at electroweak
scale are derived and given in terms of several mass insertions that
represent the flavor transitions between different generations of quarks and
leptons.
(iii) Computation of Wilson coefficients are carried out in the Mass Insertion
Approximation (MIA) where gluino and neutralino are flavored diagonal.
(iv) In a preliminary study of the SUSY effects on the CP violation in the threebody
decay (τ− → K−π0ντ ), we analyzed all important constraints on the
relevant mass insertions and that may be imposed on the SUSY contributions
to the two-body decay (τ− → K−ντ )
(v) The total amplitude for τ− → K−π0ντ was derived and revealed the basic
result that CP asymmetry depends on the relative ratios among SUSY Wilson
coefficients.
(vi) Different scenarios ( based on the relative ratios of Ci) are proposed for
those giving the dominant SUSY contributions.
(vii) We considered the interference of the Q5 operator (which is induced by
SUSY contribution ) and the Q1 operator (which is dominated by the SM
contribution). This leads to an enhancement of the predicted CP asymmetry
with several orders of magnitudes than the standard model (SM) prediction.
