المستخلص

The study aimed to identify special needs student and the modern educational trend for applying the comprehensive merger policy with their normal peers in the basic education in the Republic of Yemen; it also aimed to identify the requirements and obstacles of the comprehensive merger of them in the light of some modern educational trends.
The study used the descriptive design and applied on a sample consisted of (581) teachers and headmasters in normal schools, and teachers and headmasters in special needs centers. The study used the questionnaire as a tool of the field study.
The study showed the following results:
1- a total agreement of the sample of teachers and headmasters in normal schools on the importance of the requirements of the comprehensive merger of special needs student that are presented in the different aspects of the questionnaire, they also recognized the obstacles which prevent applying the comprehensive merger policy of special needs student in the basic education in the Republic of Yemen, that is with a highly positive agreement without any statistically significant differences between this sample and the sample of teachers and headmasters in special needs centers.
2-a total agreement of the sample of teachers and headmasters in special needs centers on the importance of the requirements of the comprehensive merger of special needs student that are presented in the different aspects of the questionnaire, they also recognized the obstacles which prevent applying the comprehensive merger policy of special needs student in the basic education in the Republic of Yemen, that is with a highly positive agreement without any statistically significant differences between this sample and the sample of teachers and headmasters in normal schools.
3- the whole sample agree on the importance of the requirements and the obstacles of the comprehensive merger policy that are presented in the different aspects of the questionnaire with a highly positive agreement without any statistically significant differences between the whole sample and the two groups of the study; teachers and headmasters in normal schools, and teachers and headmasters in special needs centers.
The study presented a suggested conception to activate the comprehensive merger policy of special needs student in basic education in the Republic of Yemen and to overcome the obstacles faced by in the light of some modern educational trends.
