Abstract
1- Substituted as well as 1, 2-disubstituted indloe 3-carbaldehyde 296 were reacted with thiosemi-carbazide 297 to give the corresponding thiosemi-carbazone 298a-f which cyclized with mono-choloroacetic acid in the presence of sodium acetate in acetic acid to give the corresponding indole derivatives 299a- Also the preparation of 2-hydrazino -3-methylquinazoline 305 ,which was reacted with some aldhydic sugars to yield hydrazono quinazoline derivatives 306 a, b,c were investigated. The cyclic nucle osides 308a,c were prepared by the reaction of hydrazono quinazoline derivatives 306a,c with ferric chloride in ethanol.
