Abstract
The plants are rich source of biologically active compounds. This encouraged scientists in using certain plants constituents as plant molluscicides as alternative source to chemical molluscicides which proved to be good and safe means to eradicate the snail vector which responsible for schistosomiasis transmission. from this stand point, the present study was undertaken.
The present study was divided into three parts, biological study ( survival, growth rates and egg laying capacity ), histological study ( histological architecture of hermaphrodite and digestive glands) and molecular biological study ( tissue proteins content, RNA intensity and DNA damage in hermaphrodite-digestive glands).
