Abstract

In the present work, the relationships among 19 species belonging to genus Ficus have been addressed on the bases of information derived from morphological characters of pollen grains using both the light microscope and the scanning electron microscope (17 species). These taxa obtained from different Egyptian gardens. As well as on criteria revealed by ISSR fingerprint for 19 species (including the same species involved in palynological study). The taxa were selected so as to represent three (Ficus, Urostigma & Sycomorus) of the accepted four subgenera in the genus according to the infrageneric classification of the genus that presented by Corner (1965).
