Abstract burn is considered to be one of the most important trauma that may face anesthesiologist either in its acute stage or later on, the patient is subjected to many problems such as: Respiratory which is considered the main cause of death due to hypoxaemia caused by direct heat damage to the airway and carbon-monoxide poisoning due to smoke inhalation. cardiovascular problems caused by major haemodynamic and pulmonary abnormalities due to extensive loss of blood and plasma leading to hypovolaemia or by transfusion of blood, colloids and crystalloids and their hazards. |
