Abstract

Self- instruction is a learner- initiated process. It involves diagnosis of learning needs, formulation objectives, selection of resources, implementation of strategies, and evaluation of learning outcome. Several instructional materials designed for use by individual learners packed in a variety of ways. One of the most frequent terms used to describe an individualized learning package is the term module.
Self- instructional module is a printed form as a series of individual booklets covering relatively small instructional units, or they may be grouped together in such a way that the individual instructional units comprise a complete course of instruction. It allows for learner control of time and pacing, while simultaneously allowing for large number of students to learn the same material. As well as, allows students to choose the amount of instruction needed with others for comprehension of the material.
Self- instructional module is a popular option for providing continuing nursing education. So, it can be used to facilitate learning the require knowledge acquisition and application.
Accordingly, this study aimed to:
Determine impact of a developed self- instructional module of the performance of nurse educators at the Faculty of Nursing Alexandria University.
