Abstract
Eight hundreds and forty birds were collected from 23 broiler flocks in Assiut farms (governmental and private), their ages were ranged between 23-43 days, 590 from these birds (live and freshly dead) were with swelling head and 250 (live birds) were contact apparently healthy birds. These cases were subjected to clinical signs observation which showed swelling of heads with conjunctivitis and some birds were with closed eyes and P.M. examination revealed: congestion of trachea in most cases, cloudiness of air sacs in some cases, nasal passage and sinuses contained a forthy mucus, pericarditis was also recorded.
