Abstract

Toxoplasma gondii, the protozola coccidian parasite , has been incrimin -ted as one of the etiologically significant agent in many obstetric disorders such as sporadic and habitual abortion , still birth and intra-uterine foetal death.
Cats are considered as the most important source of infection to the other species of mammals and birds as well as man.
The present work has been involved 110 cat faecal samples collected from different localities at Assiut and Sohag Governorates , Upper Egypt as well as 50 blood samples from women with the history of habitual abortion attending the antinatala clinic at Assiut Unversity Hospital and Sohag Hospital.
