Abstract The purpose of this study was to assess compliance patterns among mastectomized patients who receive radiotherapy or chemotherapy, assess factors that might affect the three compliance patterns, (keep appointment, receive treatment and do all requested investigations). The results revealed that (22%) ofthe participated patients were compilers to the three compliance patterns and highest percentage of compilers among chemotherapy group was found on doing ail requested Investigations. While the highest percentage of compilers among the radiotherapy group founded \vith receiving all medication causes of non-compliance. In this study might be cultural values, nature ofthe disease, side effects ofthe therapeutic regimen and communication barriers from the pr~sent study. I was found that a statistical significant relation between patient compliance to keep appointment and their disease duration however patients previously received treatment and their compliance to three patterns among bath groups on the other hand the results presents significant relations between patients perception about their self care and their compliance to keep appointment |
