Abstract This is a review study on hepatic resection aimed at updating our knowledge about the different successful techniques for hepatectomies. The most annoying problems during parenchymal dissection of the liver are bleeding and bile leakage. Recent technology now helped us by developing instruments to facilate hepatic resection with minimal blood loss or bile leakage. Orthotropic liver transplantation is a standard treatment for patients with H.C.C. The use of split-liver and living related liver techniques became a must. So the technique and operative details of segmental hepatic resection as well as split liver resection for living donor transplantation were reviewed thoroughly. |
