Abstract

Diabetes is a chronic disease is very common and dangerous and can lead to serious complications and to many of the diseases. Diabetes is A metabolic disease characterized by an increase in the level of sugar in the blood as a result of lack of relative or full of insulin in the blood or to a defect in the effect of insulin on cells which would lead to chronic complications in different members of the body. There are many spices used in improving the level of sugar in the blood, including cinnamon and ginger. Ginger, Zingiber officinale, continues to be used as an important dietary spice and herbal medicine worldwide. Gingerols, the major pungent components of ginger, are known to improve diabetes, including the enhancement of insulin secretion, glucose clearance and prevention of other diabetes-related disorders. Cinnamon is a small tree that grows in India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Brazil, Vietnam, and Egypt. It’s one of the oldest known spices. To prepare it, the bark of the cinnamon tree is dried and rolled into cinnamon sticks, also called quills. Cinnamon can also be dried and ground into a powder. cinnamon is used as a remedy for diabetes cinnamon may have a beneficial effect on blood sugar. where the study of their impact on the level of sugar in the blood and in mice infected with a high level of blood sugar.Was used 45 mice of the female weight (140+- 5 g). And are fed to the main meal, which consists of (casein 11.6 g oil - 10 g - Cellulose 5 g - salts, 1 g -vitamins, 4 g - Starch 67.4 g) were added cinnamon and ginger to it and it rates 3%and 6% and 9% for each , and 6% as a mixture of equal amount of cinnamon and ginger. Added to the basic meal. Mice were injected by alloxan to injuries of diabetes and divided into 8 groups. 􀂃 Group (1): Group of rats fed on standard diet only as negative control. 􀂃 Group (2): Group of diabetic rats fed on standard diet as positive control. SUMMARY 141 􀂃 Group (3): Group of rats fed on standard diet containing 3% cinnamon. 􀂃 Group (4): Group of rats fed on standard diet containing 6% cinnamon. 􀂃 Group (5): Group of rats fed on standard diet containing 9% cinnamon. 􀂃 Group (6): Group of rats fed on standard diet containing 3% ginger. 􀂃 Group (7): Group of rats fed on standard diet containing 6% ginger. 􀂃 Group (8): Group of rats fed on standard diet containing 9% ginger. At the end of the experiment biological is the weight of mice after fasting 12 hours and then slaughtered and the compiling of blood samples in tubes centrifuge glass and the work of centrifuges to separate blood serum (serum) and save it in bottles, plastic sealed, numbered and stored in the freezer refrigerator to work biochemical analysis. As has been the removal of organs (liver - kidney - pancreas) and weight of each fugitive was on the end save them in a solution of formalin and diluted to histopathology analysis. All data were analyzed statistically by the statistics program(SAS) and display the results in the form of the arithmetic mean(+ -) and standard deviation of the average moral at 0.05.
