Abstract It has been estimated thats as many as75% of all deaths following burn injuries are related to infection the thermal injury destroy the skin barrier that normaally prevent invasion of bacteria, fungi and viruses, making the burn wound the most frequent origin of sepsis in these patients. The nurse plays an important role in preventing, controlling and treating infection among burned patients. The aim of this study was to identify the difference in burn wound sepsis both qualitatively and quantitatively between pre-post educational programme of the nursing staff, and to identify the value of continuous education for nurses in charge of burn units. |
