Abstract
The present study was carried out in the surgical operating rooms at Assiut University Hospital, the researcher tried to investigate and identify the need for updating the job description of nurse supervisor in operating room.
The aim and objective of the study were : 1-Identification of the activities performed by the operating room supervisor in Assiut University Hospital.
2- The need for updating the job description of the operating room supervisors in Assiut University Hospital.
In order to achieve the objectives of the study, reflecting the main activities which should be carried out by the operating room supervisor a structured questionnaire interview form was developed by the researcher administered to twenty supervisors thirty and thirty physicians to assess their perception of the main activities carried out by the operating room supervisors.
