Abstract
In the course of the madness raise of international food prices, comes the importance of fish as a cheap important soutce of animal As the parasitic fauna of freshwater fish is continuously changing the present study eas undertaken to give a complete picyure of the different species of freshwater partasites the locality el-minia Governorate was chosen for this study because all previous studies on the fish of this region were restricted on only one or two species of parasites and the only survey that included all parasites was done in the year1995 by el-ganiny it is a long period of time in which a lot of changes might have been occurred in the present work 713different fish of 16fish species belonging to 11families were examined eleven out of the 16 species examined were found infected with one or more of the following groups of parasites:Trematoda,cestoda nematoda Acanthocephala and crustacea the other five species were founde to be not infected.
