Abstract This work was carried out with the aim of studying pattern of tympanometric measurements after successful myringoplasty and its comparison with the pre and post- operative hearing function. Our subjects were selected from patients presenting to the ear, nose and throat clinic of the military hosipitals. 30 Patients out of 72, who underwent myringoplasty were included in this study. successful * The criteria of subject selection before surgery was based on the following : Simple dry perforation as shown by clinical examination, conductive hearing loss with normal bone conduction curve by the aid of audiometry, an intact mobile ossicular chain and a good eustachian tube function. * operative data gathered during exploration of the middle ear concerning the state of the ossicular chain, the state of tympanic orifice of eustachian tube and the state of middle ear mucosa. -operative evaluation after one month * Pot months was followed based on complete and three otological. |
