The sector of organic agriculture is considered nowadays the fastest in growth as a developing food sector where the worldwide organic cultivated areas are about 31 million hectares in 2007 in more than 623 thousand farms and applied in about 140 countries throughout the world in the same previously mentioned year. In the Arab Republic of Egypt,the organic areas reach about 24558 hectares representing about 0.8% of the total world organic areas distributed among the govemorates of the republic the country including AlFayoum,the core topic of the study where the organic- cultivated area is about 9703 feddans representing about 16.5% of the total area all over the country which is about
58915 feddans in 2007. The aromatic and medicinal plants occupy the top of the list in relation to importance where the cultivated area is about 3468 feddans representing about 35.7% of the total cultivated areas. Field crops come second in importance. The cultivated areas reach about 3300 representing about 34% of the total organic cultivated area in the govemorate whereas vegetables and fruits come third and fourth in importance. The area of each is 2080 and 885 feddans in a rate of 21.4% and 8.8% of the total cultivated areas successively.As for the study crops, the organic areas for
