Abstract This study was carried out in Zagazig University Hospitals during the period from, to on 150 infants less than 2 years. Those infants were classified into breast fed 50 case dried milk formula feds (25 cases) cow’s milk fed 25 cases, breast fed and other food 25 cases, artificial fed and other food 2S cases groups. All those infants were subjected into full history, complete examination and the following investigation. Total lipid, chol~~terol, HDL, LDL, triglycerid. The results were collected. Males were breast fed more than females breast fed was common in age group less than 6 months. 70% of breast milk fed baby had normal average weigh.t while 44% of those artificial fed had normal average weight. As regard of, lipid p r o f i l , total lipid in breast milk is less than of artificial or cow’s milk fed groups. Total cholesterol is higher in breast milk than those with other type of feeding triglyceride in artificial fed groups ishigher than of breast fed groups |
