Abstract

In this study we prepared E. coli vaccine by two
different methods:
1. Sonicated E. coli vaccine.
2. Formalin inactivated E. coli vaccine
where the breeder hens were vaccinated at age of 20
and 25 weeks. After that were evaluate the antibody titre using
ELISA test and IHT (indirect heam agglutination) test.
The results reveled that
I. Immune response to vaccination:
I-Sonicated E.coli vaccine
Breeders
ELISA titre was 8.86, 9.50, 9.79 and 9.84 at 1 S\ 2nd, 3rd and 4th
weeks post vaccination while GMT titre was l.99, 2.35,
2.59 and 2.71 respectively.
Eggs:
,
ELISA titer was 8.1, 8.4, 8.7 and 8.86 at 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th
weeks post vaccination while GMT titre was l.38, l.7, 2.04
and 2.43 respectively.
Chicks: ELISA titre were 8.81,7.29,6.8 ,6.8 and 5.79 at 1,
7, 14, 21 and 28 days old post hatching while GMT titre
were 2.1, l.92, l.62, l.32 and l.20 respectively.
