Abstract
The aim of this study is to explore the impact of the application of a post mastectomy arm exercise and arm care on the prevention reduction of post mastectomy lymphedema.
The following research hypotheses were formulated to fulfill the purpose of the study.
1- Tha main knowledge scores of patient who will receive instructions about arm exercises and arm care will be higher than the mean knowledge scores of a control group.
2- The mean practice scores of patient who will apply post mastectomy arm exercises will be higher than the mean practice scores of a control group.
3- There will be a positive correlation between the mean knowledge and practice scores obtained by the study group subject than that among the control group subjects.
4- The incidence of lymphedema among patient who will receive instructions about arm care and apply post mastectomy arm exercises will be lasser/ lower than the incidence of lymphedema among a control group.
