Abstract Coronary artery disease is a major threat to health by which multiple aspects of coronary artery patient’s quality of life can be affected and result in development of depressive symptoms and anxiety, a long with a decline in functional capacity, social function and spiritual aspects. This study aimed to assess the quality of life among coronary artery disease patients and identify the correlates of their ’quality of life. The study setting was in cardiac out patient clinics of Suez Canal university hospital in Ismailia, on a total sample of 101 coronary artery disease patients. Results revealed that most coronary artery disease patients have reported moderate quality of life. It observed that being a male, married with adequate income, have a job as employees, being adherent to therapeutic regimen are correlates of better quality of life among the studied subject, while being aged, with low educational level, having comorbid diseases are correlates of poor quality of life among patients with coronary artery disease. |
