Abstract
This study has been conducted to determine characteristics considered desirable in clinical instructors as viewed by nursing students and nursing teaching staff. The sample comprised two groups; the students and the teaching staff of nursing.
The first group consisted of 230 students. There represented the total students’ body enrolled in the four academic years of the High Institute of Nursing, University of Assiut 1990-1991. The questionnaire used was developed by the researcher, It ewas divided into two parts. The first part was related to the socio-educational background of the respondents in the study.
