Abstract Project management represents an important point in the all projects generally and especially in industrial projects, where the magnitude of the works and the diversity of resources, particularly the establishment of cement plants. This scientific report is dealing with cement silo construction as study case, which includes the most important specialized works such as slip form works as construction method and post tensioning technique as requirement of design. The cement silo construction can be divided into foundation, wall, inverted cone and roof slab. A construction planning for cement silo was prepared including method statement for each part of the cement silo, where can break down the cement silos to specific activities in a manner of WBS, By studying the quantities and rates of performance of labor and equipments for all activities and the logical relations between them. Then we had all the required data for setting up an integrated schedule program. With the help of computer science, especially Primavera Project Planner program which we used to get a full schedule program includes time, cost and resources management for all activities and through the project stages. |
