The research subject: Benefiting from Folk-Textiles to innovate Hand Made weaving as Interior Design
Accessories”
The researcher discussed the subject, both theoretical
and applied scientific research in five classes as follows:
Chapter I: ”The background and procedures of the
research”
It dealed with: the background, proplems, hypotheses
,aims, importance,
limits, and procedures of the research which includes the
oretica and practical framework, as well as the terms of the
search.
The second has included: previous studies and
researchs related to the subject of studies on designs and
techniques Tally, and others dealt with the decorative textile
styles in the field handmade textiles .
Chapter II: ” Folk Textiles in Assiut Governorate (Kilims
and Tally)”
The discussion dealt first with: Folklore - symbols of plastic
and its meaning - Folklore in the arts of ancient civilizations -
Kilim as a popular industrial product _ The manufactore of
handmade kilims in Assiut - looms used in the manufacture
of handmade kilims in Assiut _ the tools used in the
manufacture of handmade kilims in Assiut – The practical
way used in handmade kilims textile – The order of color
spaces weave in the handmade kilims – dividing the surface
of the handmade kilims - the final form of the kilim – The
terms and the technical specifications of well kilim. The
decorative units used in the design of kilims - the plastic
solution of the decorative units for the Kilim - samples of
Assiut Kilim .
And second : The Tally Art - places of production of Tally in

Assiut - tools and materials used in the art of Tally –The
way of making the Tally stitch - the decorative unit used in
the Tally designs - the methods used in designing the units.
Chapter III:”The hanging textile as a complementary for
interior design”
The discussion dealt first with: The Art of Interior
Design (concept, function and purposes) - the definition of
interior design – The interior design ..... in the past - interior
design .. and Modernity - Architectural color - the color,
nature and man - Interior Spaces - the physical structure of
the space .
And Second: - The plastic art as a complement to the
interior design - the definition of the mural painting – the
aesthetics value of the artwork and size and its relationship to
the viewer - Murals Textile - The textile works as a
complement to the interior design - stages of preparation the
work Textile as a complement to the interior design - design
in the form of Textile - Elements of Design –The aesthetic
basics.
Chapter IV:” Materials and techniques used in textile”
Includes - raw materials - raw materials of textile - the
raw materials used in the current study - the general division
of the textile fibers.
Chapter V: ”Applications of Research (research
experience)”:
It deal with – the suggested designs to benefit from the
folk textile as acomplement for interior design - aim of the
experiment - the stages and steps of the experiment - place of
the experiment - the equipments and tools used in the
experiment - the raw materials used in the experiment –
presnting the images of the experiment results – and
procedure - testing the validity of assumptions - statistical
analysis - and the results of the researcher’s findings and

discussed it recommendations and then followed by a list of
references in Arabic and English and a summary of the study
in Arabic and English.
