Abstract
Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer and the second leading cause of cancer deaths in women worldwide. It is expected that 214.640 new cases of breast cancer occur and about 41.430 deaths will occur annually worldwide (American Cancer Association,National Cancer Institute and WHO., 2006 of all cases.This study was conducted to determine the effect of educational intervention on the knowledge and practices of breast self exam among women at rural area incorporating Health Belief Model. In the light of the present study findings,it can be concluded that: Breast cancer is a very serious health problem affects women worldwide as well as in Egypt.
