Abstract
1-All tested extracts showed strong to moderate activities against Staphylococcus aureus and acid fast bacilli .
2- The gramine showed strong activity against Gram-positive bacteroa (Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis and Sarcina lutea),Gram - negative bacteria (Eschericia coli) yeast. No activity against acid fast bacilli (Mycobacterium pheli).
3- Only young leaf alcohol extract showed strong antifungal activity perhaps due to the presence of gramine alkaloid.
