Abstract
The present study was conducted to explain the following points :1-Methods of drying a-sun drying.b-drying by mechnical dryrs.2-Using of solar energy for drying processes as follows :a-the air flow rate effect on drying rate.b-the effect of increasing load on floor of the green houses.c-the effect of rings thickness on the drying rate.3-The artificial drying by using forced heated air from yhe following points :a-rate of drying curve.b-effect of temperature upon the rate of drying.c-consumption of energy.d-effect of airflow rate upon the rate of drying.e-effect of increasing load on trays.f-effect of airflow direction.4- Economic considerations from the following points:a-straight line deprecation.b- the fixed precentage of the present value.c-some studies on cost analysis for useful use of solar energy for Egyptian crops.
