Abstract
The egyptian government encourages wheat producers to raise wheat productivity by modernization of water management performance as well as replacing the old cultivars by new improved high yielding ones that tolerate drought and salt stress,therefore the present investigation aimed to study the effect of soil moisture stress on growth and yield of wheat, water consumptive use ,water use efficiency and soil moisture extraction pattern using three wheat cultivars ( sakha8,sakha69,sakha61).Besides irrigation with saline water was investigated on three wheat cultivars productivity.
