Abstract Estimation of the antigen content of five batches of inactivated Newcastle disease vaccines representing five manufacturers using ether, isopropyl myristate and chloroform was carried out. The haemagglutination activity of extracted antigen using ether was the same as initial antigen used for vaccine preparation. It was found good correlation between the extracted antigen in each vaccine and immune response and protection. Finally, it was found that the antigen extraction by chemical substances as ether, isopropyl myristate and chloroform then quantification of haemagglutination activity and the protein content could be available measure of the efficiency of inactivated Newcastle disease oil emulsion vaccine as alternative method for vaccination challenge assay in-vivo. |
