Abstract This study presents a trail for preparation of AI-ND and Al vaccines and study the duration and level of immunity induced by such vaccines under experimental condition. The serological tests carried out on serum samples obtained from vaccinated chickens with single and combined Al and ND vaccines revealed that such birds exhibited detectable AI antibodies by the first week post vaccination with single AI and combined Al and ND vaccines of a titer 6± 1.15 & 2± 1.0 by HI test and 0.4S1±0.217 & 0.323±0.19S by ELlSA; respectively. The peak of AI antibody titer was induced by the monovalent vaccine (8.7± 1.26 by HI test and 1.067±0.4S0 by ELISA) by the third week while the combined vaccine recorded such peak (7.5 ±0.S8 by HI test and 0.949±0.669 by ELlSA) by the seventh week post vaccination. Detectable ND antibodies were detected in vaccinated chickens with titers of 6.7±1.IS & 6.S±I.0 by HI test on. the first week post vaccination with single ND and combined AI and ND vaccines respectively. These antibodies reached their peak (8.7 ±1.26& 7.S±O.S8 by HI at the third and eleventh week post vaccination with single and combined vaccines; respectively The study reports the first trail for Preparation of a combined inactivated Vaccine to Avian Influenza and Newcastle disease viruses. |
