Abstract The present study was conducted on fourty eight livers of pigsDissection , casting and radio - opaque techniques have been applied to show the different ramifications of the vascular and bile duct systems as well as their topographic relations with proposals of hepatic segmentationThe portal vein on reaching the Porta hepatis was divided into Rdorsalis dexter and Rventralis dexter then proceeded to the left as RsinisterThe bile duct was formed by the union of the cystic and the common hepatic ducts , the latter formed by the convergence of the right and left hepatic ductsThe hepatic artery bifurcated into Rdexter and RsinisterThe hepatic veins was divided into large and small sized veins , the large sized veins consists of the right , the middle and the left hepatic veins , while the small hepatic veins comprised. |
