Abstract A total of 240 broiler chicks( one day old) were allocated into 8 groups :Control ,Clenbuterol, Without Clenbuterol after 4 weeks,L-Carnitine,DL- Methionine,Clenbuterol+L -Carnitine,Clenbuterol+DL-Methionine and Clenbuterol+L- Carnitine+DL- Methionine groups for 8 weeks. Clenbuterol was supplemented in a diet at dose 1mg/kg basal ration, While L- Carnitine with dose 100 mg/kg basal ration and DL-Methionine with dose 19m/kg basal ration. The results revealed that dietary Clenbuterol, L -Carnitine and DL-Methionine increased significantly live body weight in broiler chicken at 8 weeks of age .Serum cholesterol concentrations were increased significantly at 4 weeks of age but there in a significant decrease in cholesterol concentrations in Clenbuterol, L -Carnitine and DL- Methionine at 8 weeks of age. In addition, at 8 weeks of age a significant decrease in insulin like growth factor1 (ILGF1) in L-Carnitine,DL-Methionine, Clenbuterol +L-Carnitine , Clenbuterol +DL-Methionine and Clenbuterol+ L-Carnitine+ DL-Methionineine supplemented groups in broiler chicken when compared to control.Clenbuterol act as immunosuppresor substance,While,L-Carnitine and DL-Methionine act as immunostimulant substances. |
