Abstract
This work was carried out to determine the immune status of cattle herds. Also, explore the presence of circulating FMDV rather than evaluation of FMD vaccine under field condition. This study was done on random sera collected from five governorates during one year. ELISA test was carried out on these samples revealed that about 63% of tested animals have a protective level of antibodies against FMD while 20% were under risk , and 17% were susceptible to FMDV infection . 3ABC test was carried out on these samples, 8% of the samples were positive. Indicated that 8% of these animals were previously infected with FMDV. That means presence of virus replication. Results of detection of serum antibodies against non- structural proteins (3ABC) in vaccinated animals in new valley showed that non –structural proteins (3ABC) antibodies were not detectable in sera of vaccinated animals.
