Abstract

This study carried out on 46 lungs of normally clinically adult pigs of different ages and sexes, the study includes the lobar division of the lung, bronchial tree, pulmonary vessels & pulmonary segmentation. The results affirmed six pulmonary lobes four in the right and two in the left lung, the tracheal bronchus ventilate right cranial lobe and the right and left bronchi for the rest of the pulmonary lobes, the study found the pulmonary trunk split into right and left pulmonary arteries for both lungs respectively. The three pulmonary sinuses of the left atrium of the heart collect seven pulmonary veins from both lungs. All bronchopulmonary segments of both lungs of bronchovascular type except that of caudal lobes of bronchoarterial.
