Abstract

The study was carried out on three hundreds male Hubbard, one day old chicks, they were divided into 6 groups of 50 chicks each in accordance to the type of feed additives offered: The first group was fed on a basal diet and kept as a control, the chicks of the second group were fed on a basal diet to which kemzyme was added at a dose of 100 mg (containing 100 pp.m)/kg ration. The third group was fed on a basal ration mixed with salinomycin powder at a dose of 100 mg/kg ration. The fourth group was fed on a basal ration mixed with zinc bacitracin powder at a dose of 10 ppm/kg ration. The fifth group was fed on a basal ration to which kemzyme powder 100 mg/kg ration) and salinomycin powder (100 mg/kg ration) were added. The sixth group was fed on basal ration to which both kemzyme (100 mg/kg ration) and zinc bacitracin powders (10 ppm/kg ration) were added.
It could be concluded that, the addition of salinomycin or zinc bacitracin to kemzyme on one hand did not add any further improvement to all measured parameters and on the other hand increase the cost of broilers ration.
Supplementation of broilers feed with enzymes could help poultry producers adapt to force coming European ban on antibiotic growth promoters, meet the increasing consumer demand for safe affordable food and exploit the growing demonde for natural and organic poultry product.
Multi enzymes should not be added to broiler’s feed for more than 6 successive weeks to avoid their effect on blood coagulabelity.
