Abstract Different analytical techniques are adopted in this thesis including spectrophotometry, high performance liquid chromatography, TLC-densitometry, and Chemometric manipulation of the spectrophotometric data for the analysis of some nitrogenous compounds of different pharmacological activities. The chosen drugs are Oxybutynin Hydrochloride, Flavoxate Hydrochloride, Methocarbamol, Diclofenac Potassium . Aim of the work was to To develop rapid, economic and selective methods for analysis of the cited drugs in raw materials and in their pharmaceutical formulations without interference from additives. To develop stability-indicating analytical methods which are capable of determining the studied drugs in presence of their degradation products. This thesis consists of five parts in addition to references and an Arabic summary. Each part includes an introduction, literature review, descriptive experimental work for the studied drugs, results, discussion and ends with a conclusion. Part I was named Quantitative Determination of Oxybutynin Hydrochloride in Presence of Its Degradation Product and Additives in Different Pharmaceutical Dosage Forms: part II was named Stability Indicating Methods for Determination of Flavoxate Hydrochloride in Presence of Its Alkaline Induced Degradation Products Part III was named Part III: Determination of Methocarbamol and Ibuprofen in Their Binary Mixture and in Presence of Methocarbamol Degradation Product : part IV was named Part IV: Determination of Methocarbamol and Diclofenac Potassium in Their Binary Mixture and in Presence of Methocarbamol Degradation Product: part V consists of a brief idea about the instruments, solvents and chemicals used in other parts. |
